Fuel Pump

Enough to produce a 25 foot stream, and last 27 seconds on the included tank of the LRT (20 on the UBF), or nearly 5 minutes on the backpack kit. This fuel pump is not sold as a standalone item for any other application. We do not provide support or specifications for anyone attempting to build their own homemade version of our products; this pump is a replacement pump for a product line we manufacture. The specifications should not matter - only that the product it is installed in does what it claims to.

We've sold over 50,000 units in the last 4 years, and can tell you there is no concern with dust when the fuel cap is open for a short time during filling. It has a fine screen mesh built into its inlet. Some of these are used heavily on farmland. The problems we see are when people leave the caps open indefinitely and insects get inside, or other foreign debris that blocks the fuel tank's outlet hole. You can see that it is an inline style pump, not a submerged in-tank design. The pump is rated to run dry for up to 5 minutes, which would never happen used in a device like this. The intermittent use it sees is *nothing* compared to continuous use in a vehicle.
