With the same 25-foot reach*, this compact configuration maximizes versatility. Use it fully handheld, mounted to a picatinny equipped device, or even with the Pulsefire Backpack Kit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Will recoil damage it?
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen customers attach it to a .50 BMG, shotgun, etc. and operate without issue.
My barrel is short. Will the muzzle blast cause harm to the unit?
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
How do you attach the backpack kit to the UBF?
Simply unscrew the hose fitting from the UBF reservoir and thread it onto the included 37 degree male-male adapter. Now you can follow the same instructions that come with the backpack kit - just thread one of the backpack kit's hose ends onto the adapter instead of the fuel pump.
Is the onboard reservoir removable?
No. The overall housing and fuel tank are welded as one unit.
Will there be a California compliant version?
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT was offered with a short range nozzle for California customers. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Thus, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF and want to feel the heat.

This is an awesome product especially having the ability to bound it under your rifle. Well constructed very easy to use and one of the safest flamethrowers I've ever used. I think the most important part about to this experience is the customer service you received from this company. They respond very quickly and even sent me a replacement fuel hose when the one I had cracked at no charge. This is the only company I would ever order a flamethrower from for now on.
