With the same 25-foot reach*, this compact configuration maximizes versatility. Use it fully handheld, mounted to a picatinny equipped device, or even with the Pulsefire Backpack Kit.
25-FOOT REACH*
Light the bonfire, incinerate weeds, and have fun doing it. Reach out with an ignited fuel stream from a safe distance to whatever needs to be lit.
RUNS ON GASOLINE
Lay it on its side, extend the built-in kickstand, and fill the non-pressurized reservoir like any other outdoor tool. Uses gasoline or a gas/diesel mixture (up to 50% diesel).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Will recoil damage it?
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen it attached to a .50 BMG and operate without issue.
My barrel is short. Will the muzzle blast cause harm to the unit?
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
How do you attach the backpack kit to the UBF?
Simply unscrew the hose fitting from the UBF reservoir and thread it onto the included 37 degree male-male adapter. Now you can follow the same instructions that come with the backpack kit - just thread one of the backpack kit's hose ends onto the adapter instead of the fuel pump.
Is the onboard reservoir removable?
No. The overall housing and fuel tank are welded as one unit.
Will there be a California compliant version?
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT is equipped with a short range nozzle. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Since the LRT isn't a big seller in California, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF.

Will you be making one that doesn't have the small integral gas tank and only feeds from the backpack?
For the UBF, it's unlikely. We originally looked at designing it around a removable reservoir like the LRT, but the overall packaging and positioning of the components, particularly the trigger switch, resulted in only one good way to ergonomically organize it all. It would require a significant redesign of many parts, and considering the UBF's ability to mount on a rail was always meant to be a novelty, a dedicated backpack system design was never the priority... We do have a couple new products coming out that will expand the lineup to provide more options for specific tasks, but the UBF is likely to continue to be the same design as today.

Can I use 2 cycle or 4 cycle premixed fuel.
It was designed specifically for gasoline and gasoline-diesel mixtures, but it should be fine as long as the fuel remains low viscosity (thin).

You do international shipping? Poland for example
For the UBF, unfortunately, no. We are actively working on exporting the LRT and accessories internationally, however.

Love it! I was surprised it was exactly as expected! Its a nice surprise in today’s world with most of the stuff you buy online is garbage. This is well worth the $$$. I would suggest the 3 gallon backpack as that just extends to fun!
