THE SAFEST WAY TO APPLY FIRE
We’ve sold numerous Pulsefire systems to the general public, firefighters, farmers, controlled burn prescribers, and members of the U.S. Forestry Service. While the UBF is focused more on novelty, it’s still capable of typical long range torch use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen customers attach it to a .50 BMG, shotgun, etc. and operate without issue.
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT was offered with a short range nozzle for California customers. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Thus, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF and want to feel the heat.

It’s a mother trucking flame thrower! Best valentines ever!

Works good for burning fence lines. Weeds in food plots. Doesn’t melt ice or snow to good. But you look cool trying.

Works great. Comes with a picatinny compatible clamp but I prefer stand alone usage, although under a 12ga might make for good pics. Lots of fun standing back and lighting the burn pile.

Actually 4.5 stars. Flame stream extremely susceptible to wind. Otherwise the thing will torch just about anything flammable. Worked on some brush piles. Use with the backpack tank. Battery life not as long as would like. Bought spares, but not from Exothermic Technologies. They were out of stock, but there was a notice on their website for the battery of an acceptable substitute with a link to Amazon to purchase them! Not many companies would do that. Waiting for ET to come out with a storage bag that holds both flamethrower and the tank like on their big model flamethrower.
