THE SAFEST WAY TO APPLY FIRE
We’ve sold numerous Pulsefire systems to the general public, firefighters, farmers, controlled burn prescribers, and members of the U.S. Forestry Service. While the UBF is focused more on novelty, it’s still capable of typical long range torch use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen customers attach it to a .50 BMG, shotgun, etc. and operate without issue.
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT was offered with a short range nozzle for California customers. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Thus, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF and want to feel the heat.

I have no idea when I’lluse this but it’s a gd flamethrower. It’d have 10 stars if that were available. It is very big on my lil 13.7”. I didn’t even try to mount it.

I purchased the UBF about a year ago to attach to an AR for an absolute blast! Shortly after getting it, I realized I wanted to actually use the flamethrower for starting fires and killing weeds in my driveway, so I purchased the gas tank.
Not only is it fun for me, but it’s fun to see friend’s reactions to pulling it out on camping trips. First thing they ask ‘is that even legal’, second is ‘how do you even get one’ then third ‘that must’ve been very expensive, right’. In which cases I explain it’s legal in most states (get one while you can!) and it’s really easy to get. I got the whole set up for around 750 (they had a sale too). I’d have paid more and been just as happy! I 100% recommend getting it if it’s just something you’re considering at this point! I can’t quite remember how long it took to receive in Washington state, but I feel it was less than 2 weeks.
However, the main reason for this review is I needed a replacement part. Just a small fix and not only did they respond fast, but they replaced the part complimentary and sent it right out. They left a hand written note thanking me for being a customer along with a couple extra goodies. I just felt they went above what was expected, and it should’ve been a part I had to pay for. I really respect a company that values their customer and products. Thanks Exothermic team!

Everyone should have one of these. Perfect for controlled burning and looks bad ass on an AR.
