THE SAFEST WAY TO APPLY FIRE
We’ve sold numerous Pulsefire systems to the general public, firefighters, farmers, controlled burn prescribers, and members of the U.S. Forestry Service. While the UBF is focused more on novelty, it’s still capable of typical long range torch use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen customers attach it to a .50 BMG, shotgun, etc. and operate without issue.
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT was offered with a short range nozzle for California customers. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Thus, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF and want to feel the heat.

Like a lot. Especially the battery power for the igniter. No more propane fuel to burn the pilot. Mounts to AR perfect. Looks BadAss.

Fun toy works great.

What a let down- This thing is terrible. I received one as a birthday gift and completely underwhelmed. It dribbles fuel and barely shoots flame. I followed the troubleshooting video and that didn’t help. Don’t waste your money on buying one.

Looks like a pump encountering high resistance or a partially stuck check valve. We don’t have a troubleshooting video, so I’m not sure what you watched, but we do have a written troubleshooting guide, which is extremely thorough – I wrote it. As you know, we have a lifetime warranty, and we include a ton of documentation about it, including a bright orange flyer stating that if you experience any problems, “GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY AND WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT”. We mean it. We hate to see a problem arise, but we’re always happy to fix it. If we can’t resolve it remotely, we pay for all the shipping, parts, and labor to fix it! Repairing anything that goes wrong on these is *extremely* easy. Things happen; we can’t prevent a pump from going bad, we can only minimize the chance. If you look at any automotive fuel pump reviews *anywhere* across the internet – you’d think every fuel pump out there is awful! Our issue rate has been a tiny fraction of a percent over the many years we’ve produced these, and if there is an issue, we rapidly resolve it and get your product back in action to continue working as it should. If it’s not pump related, the check valve may have simply been over-torqued, which binds the piston inside, limiting its ability to open wide enough for proper flow. Either way, we would take care of it faster than any warranty experience you’ve ever had with any other company. There’s a reason we have over 825 physical retailers, government/forestry users, and over 50,000 sold, and that wouldn’t be the case if it was a bad product.
I see that you reached out to us via email on June 21, 2024, but never responded to one of our tech’s initial advice/items to check. Most reported issues are resolved by the initial suggestions we offer, as they are typically FAQ items, so the lack of response was not something that raised concern for us. Now that we see your public review 7 months later, we have to mention: We can’t help if there’s no communication. Call us at 772-204-0700 or email us. We’d be glad to provide a return label and have this fixed in less than 24 hours of receiving it. That’s how we operate.

It’s a Flamethrower, I got the backpack which goes with this but its really unnecessary. Its loads of fun and people that come over to my shooting range really love playing with it! it goes about 20 feet, super easy to use, we found that 20% deasel to 80% gas is the sweet spot.

Used this for the first time today and I have to say this was amazing. Had some buddies and family try it. So much fun. Very easy to use and amazingly safe. Gas goes quick so definitely going to be looking at the backpack. Love this thing!!! Listen to the belly laugh of one of the guys using it.
