RUNS ON GASOLINE

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Will recoil damage it?
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen customers attach it to a .50 BMG, shotgun, etc. and operate without issue.
My barrel is short. Will the muzzle blast cause harm to the unit?
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
How do you attach the backpack kit to the UBF?
Simply unscrew the hose fitting from the UBF reservoir and thread it onto the included 37 degree male-male adapter. Now you can follow the same instructions that come with the backpack kit - just thread one of the backpack kit's hose ends onto the adapter instead of the fuel pump.
Is the onboard reservoir removable?
No. The overall housing and fuel tank are welded as one unit.
Will there be a California compliant version?
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT was offered with a short range nozzle for California customers. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Thus, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF and want to feel the heat.

Love it! I was surprised it was exactly as expected! Its a nice surprise in today’s world with most of the stuff you buy online is garbage. This is well worth the $$$. I would suggest the 3 gallon backpack as that just extends to fun!

Performs perfectly, just like claims. 25’ of bright burning gas. Great for lighting fires at ranch. We love it!
Only drawback is the trigger button needs a guard. If it’s not turned off or the valve isn’t closed, it’s possible to set it down and accidentally trigger it to light your table on fire…
Exothermic Technologies –
Heard that a few times. Battery has to be connected, power has to be on, fueled up, manual valve open… many steps to take before such a situation. But we’ll add a cover eventually, to add a 5th step before activation is possible.
