THE SAFEST WAY TO APPLY FIRE
We’ve sold numerous Pulsefire systems to the general public, firefighters, farmers, controlled burn prescribers, and members of the U.S. Forestry Service. While the UBF is focused more on novelty, it’s still capable of typical long range torch use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the FAQ answers relating to the Pulsefire® LRT also apply to the UBF.
Not that we're aware. We tested extensively with a SCAR chambered in .308, a firearm configuration known for being harsh on attached devices, and experienced no failure. We've seen customers attach it to a .50 BMG, shotgun, etc. and operate without issue.
Not that we're aware. We've had it attached to numerous short barreled firearms without issue, and so have our customers. We have a shield above the unit that helps deflect the blast.
In order to comply with regulations and avoid requiring permission from the state fire marshal, pyrotechnics license, etc., the Pulsefire LRT was offered with a short range nozzle for California customers. See more details here.
Unfortunately, the same nozzle installed on the Pulsefire UBF results in a very hot flame right by your hands. It is not a comfortable experience. Thus, we made the decision to not sell the UBF in California. You can always install the short range nozzle yourself if you have a standard UBF and want to feel the heat.

Possibly the best purchase I’ve ever made on something so cool. What guy doesn’t want to say they own a flamethrower? If you’re even at the point of reading reviews, just buy it…

Gas tank is a 0.25 gal, lasting around 20 or so seconds , without the extra storage (backpack) with the backpack lasts as long as 4 minutes,
the item comes with mineral spirit on the inside of the tank so ensure you empty before fueling.
while refilling you can use a 100% gas mixture and or use a 50gas/50diesel mix, if you’re having issues switch to 100% gas.
if you have carbon build up on the tips clean them as it can cause the igniters not to spark
the spark pins may get misaligned due to use and wear and tear attaching it to your rifle (using the holder it came with I’ve had no issues with this but others have so I thought I’d address it)
it can reach up to 25 feet with wind as a variable it can reach around 15-20ft depending on the day.
charging the battery was a little weird figuring out but is a piece of cake! there is a knob on the back of the item, unscrew and the battery is inside remove the Velcro securing the battery if the device is new the battery comes unplugged from the item , once charged, plug the 2 pin into the device and have fun!
